Our group visited Machu Picchu, one of the world's great sacred destinations. First built by the Mayans around 1400, it became an official site for Inca rulers a century later. Perched on and around mountains holding high religious importance for the ancient cultures who lived there centuries ago, the area is stunning and holds tremendous spiritual energy to this very day.
